Intracoastal Waterfront views are one of the most popular Waterfront Condo views because of the frequent Boat parade, City skyline views by day, lights of the City at night, views of beautiful Homes on the Intracoastal waterway, and expansive Waterfront views.
For this post, I’m referring to direct Intracoastal Condos ONLY, however, keep in mind when considering Condos with Intracoastal views that there are a number of Buildings that offer Units with beautiful Intracoastal views although they aren’t direct Intracoastal Buildings.
This post is specific to Intracoastal Condos located in the City of Ft. Lauderdale only (I did not include Intracoastal Condos in the nearby Cities of Lauderdale by the Sea, Pompano Beach, Deerfield Beach, Lighthouse Point, Hillsboro Beach, Hollywood, and Hallandale Beach).
Intracoastal Condos sold in Ft. Lauderdale
Within the first 4 months of 2010 (January 1, 2010 – April 30, 2010), 70 Sales of Intracoastal Condos in Ft. Lauderdale were recorded*. Intracoastal Condo sales in Ft. Lauderdale are low in comparison to other types of Waterfront Condos because Intracoastal Condos ARE NOT the majority of the available Waterfront Condo inventory.
Within the same timeframe (January 1, 2010 – April 30, 2010), 250 non-Intracoastal Waterfront Condos were purchased in Ft. Lauderdale (Oceanfront, Canal Front, and Riverfront).
- The purchase price range of the 70 Intracoastal Condos purchased was $69,000 – $4,000,000, with an average purchase price of $203,125.
- The $69,000 Condo is a 1-Bedroom, 1 Bath Unit in original condition, purchased as a Bank owned Foreclosure, located in Lauderdale Tower.
- The $4,000,000 Condo is a 9,296 Square Foot Penthouse with 3 Bedrooms and 5 Baths located in Alhambra Place Condo.
- Of the 70 Intracoastal Condos purchased, 63 are located in Buildings built from 1953 – 1984 and the remaining 7 are located in Buildings built from 1999 – 2007 (most of the Intracoastal Buildings are older instead of newer)
