Pictured above is a Penthouse at Las Olas River House that was purchased for $3,000,000 on March 8, 2010. I viewed it when showing Penthouses to interested Buyeres and it’s absolutely a stunning, Contemporary Masterpiece (designed by Interiors by Steven G).
I’m currently working with several Buyers who are interested in purchasing Single Family Homes and Condos that are of Contemporary Design. Property Inventory varies drastically, depending on what you’re searching for, and Homes of Contemporary design just aren’t the majority, particularly not in the Inventory of Single Family Homes. There are more Contemporary Residences to choose from with Condos and Townhomes, but even then, there’s more Traditional than Contemporary.
When searching for Contemporary Homes online or in the MLS, there isn’t a little Box that you can check off in order to narrow your search results, so finding such Homes is a matter of carefully reviewing the pictures and details of many listings, one-by-one, in the process of searching for the right Home and I spend many Hours completing highly customized Property searches for my Buyers, whether they’re looking for Contemporary properties or others.
To help narrow your online search for Contemporary properties, I reviewed a few Hundred each of Single Family Home, Condo, and Townhouse listings, selected the ones that are Contemporary in Interior Design (or very close to it), and prepared customized showcase pages of these Properties on my website, that are located in Ft. Lauderdale and other nearby Cities.

Of course, if you don’t find a Property that’s already designed to fit your needs, you can always choose to hire a Designer to remodel an existing Home and create the perfect Masterpiece, something that many Buyers choose to do. Decorator Ready/Designer Ready/Unfinished Homes are also a great choice since Flooring, Paint, Molding, etc. are waiting to be customized by you.
