The search for Homes with private Tennis Courts is a manual search that’s accomplished by carefully reviewing property pictures and details for EACH property listing and using a combination of various search techniques and terms (there is a “Tennis” field that’s included in listing data, however, because the “Tennis” field isn’t selected/filled in for many properties that do have Tennis Courts, you have to be careful not to miss properties that might be appropriate).
For Adults or Children who are professional Tennis Players or just enjoy Tennis as a Hobby, a Tennis Court at Home is a great idea, however, since such properties are rare, a few alternatives come to mind:
- Purchase a Home in a Community that offers Tennis Courts as one of the Amenities
- Purchase property with sufficient Land to build a Tennis Court
- Utilize private Tennis Clubs or City Tennis Courts
If you’re starting your search for properties with sufficient Land to build a Tennis Court, you can narrow your search by Lot size (although, obviously, it has to be determined if there’s enough space to build a Tennis Court and if Zoning & Land use restrictions will allow it; additionally, if the property is located within a Community that’s governed by an Association, you will need to determine in advance if the Association would allow construction of a Tennis Court).
