Homes on the Beach in Hillsboro Shores

Last week, I visited 3 Open Houses that were scheduled for Agents to preview Luxury Oceanfront Homes in the beautiful Community of Hillsboro Shores. The pictures included in this post are pictures that I shot while visiting the Properties.

The Oceanfront views are absolutely breathtaking, peaceful, beautiful, and amazing…I could go on and on!

2 of the Homes that I viewed are direct Oceanfront Homes with the Beach as their Backyards and 1 of the Homes is located in the Hillsboro Inlet area and has a Dock and gorgeous views of the Ocean and Lighthouse.

Hillsboro Shores is located in Pompano Beach and is Pompano Beach’s only Community of direct Oceanfront Single Family Homes on the Beach and is 1 of only 3 Communities in Broward County that offers direct Oceanfront Homes. The other 2 Communities are Lauderdale Beach in Ft. Lauderdale and Hillsboro Mile in Hillsboro Beach.

Market Activity in Hillsboro Shores

Of ~275 total Homes in the Community of Hillsboro Shores, 28 are currently listed for sale, so Inventory is low. Their price range is $349,000 – $9,995,000, with an average price of $912,000. Of the 28 Homes that are for sale, 6 are direct Oceanfront Homes on Bay Drive and their price range is $2,000,000 – $9,995,000. Other Waterfront Homes in Hillsboro Shores include Intracoastal front Homes on Riverside Drive and Homes located on Ocean access Canals. Non-Waterfront Homes are available as well.

The Homes that are for sale are located on Barton Road, Bay Dr., Beacon Street, Dover Rd., Leigh Road, Norfolk St., Ocean Blvd., Riverside Drive, and Robbins Road.

Of the properties that are listed for sale, none are Bank owned Foreclosures and 2 are Short Sales, which is typical since Luxury properties are not the majority of the distressed property Inventory.

Within the last 12 months, 15 Hillsboro Shores properties were purchased and their purchase price range was $175,000 – $5,400,000. 11 of the properties that were purchased are non-Waterfront, 2 are Intracoastal properties on Riverside Drive, 1 is Oceanfront Land, and 1 is a Home on the Hillsboro Inlet. The Home that was purchased for $5,400,000 is 2308 Bay Drive on the Hillsboro Inlet.
