Within the first 3 Quarters of 2011 (January – September), 13 Single Family Properties have been purchased in the Community of Harbor Islands. Of the 13 properties, 10 are Waterfront and 3 are non-Waterfront. Of the Waterfront properties, several are Intracoastal front and several are located on Ocean Access Canals.
6 of the Homes were built between 2003 – 2005 and 7 were built between 1997 – 1999. Because East and Waterfront areas were established before West areas and because there’s scarcity of available Land for new Construction in East areas, Waterfront Communities have a majority of older Homes, many of which were built during the 1950’s and 1960’s. That being the case, Harbor Islands is great to consider for Buyers who are interested in newer Construction without the necessity of tearing down and replacing an older Home or completing a total renovation job.
Harbor Islands holds the distinction of being 1 of only 4 Guard Gated Waterfront Communities in Broward County.
